Concours des Chardonnay et Pinot Noir: Results are online!

The first édition of the Concours des Chardonnay et Pinot Noir took place on Monday, November 7, during the Foire Internationale et gastronomique de Dijon. It was quite a success, with an astounding 202 samples tasted and marked by professionals and enlightened amateurs. On the basis of the jury’s rigorous marking, a special Vinidivio trophy was also awarded to the best wine produced by a Burgundy wine estate appreciated outside the region and abroad.

Award-winning wines
Beneath the watchful gaze of honorary president Eric Goettelmann, France’s Best Sommelier in 2018, The jury of 130tasters awarded 31 Gold and 35 Silver medals to wine made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In all, 202 samples from 15 countries including France, Germany, Slovakia and Serbia were tasted. All samples were tasted in conformity with strict hygiene measures, competition regulations and our ISO9001 certification.

About the competition
With ‘terroir’ as its guiding principle, the Vinidivio fair is committed to showcasing the grape varieties for which Burgundy is famous: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These varieties are well-known and valued because they express what is best in their terroirs and produce excellent wines. Thanks to the competition, producers from across the world can see how their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines measure up against other well-known vintages.
